PBA D-LEAGUE: Cebuana Lhuillier forward snags MVP award

By

MANILA, Philippines – Vic Manuel, 24 of Cebuana Lhuillier, was named the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Most Valuable Player.

Manuel, a Nueva Ecija native, normed 15.9 points and 8.3 rebounds a game to lead the Gems to a semi-finals berth.

Despite Manuel’s play, Cebuana Lhuillier still fell short in its campaign as it got swept by Freego Jeans.

The six-foot-four forward became the second Gems player to win the award.

Allein Maliksi, the former Cebuana Lhuillier swingman who is now with Barangay Ginebra in the PBA, was the league’s inaugural winner.
