Despite the loss, UST remained second on the table with 15 points on a 4-3-2 card.
In women’s volleyball at the San Juan Arena, UST defeated FEU in their knockout step-ladder duel, 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21, to move further in the tournament.
The third-ranked UST will next face second-seed Ateneo in the second stepladder match Saturday, where the Lady Eagles hold a twice-to-beat edge. De La Salle, because of a 14-0 eliminations record, is in the finals with a thrice-to-beat privilege.
