MANILA, Philippines—Phil Younghusband fired a header to give Philippines a 1-0 edge over Turkmenistan in the first half of the semifinals match of the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Younghusband scored in the 25th minute, connecting on a fine cross by Paul Mulders to give the Azkals, who made history, by making it to the semis, an early lead over the Turkmen side.

The Fil-British star striker hiked his international goal tally to 22, four coming from this tournament alone.
