Eastridge Classic: Juvic man to beat
Juvic Pagunsan looms as the overwhelming pick to nail a third ICTSI golf title this week and pull farther away in the Order of Merit race when he tees off in the P1-million Eastridge Classic in Binangonan, Rizal.
Fresh off a record-setting victory in the Orchard leg in Cavite, Pagunsan—who won two of the first three legs this season—has the game that very few in the huge field can match, especially now that he is at his peak.
The former Asian Tour Rookie of the Year tees off in the 10 a.m. group from tee No. 1 together with little-known Kevin Tayao and Arnold Bones, even as rookie Miguel Tabuena follows them in the next flight together with Ebarra Quiachon and Andrew Ong.
Artemio Murakami, last year’s Open champion, tees off with Jerome Delariarte and Joel Pilac in the 7:20 a.m. flight from No. 1.
