Marquez ‘obsessed’ over fourth fight vs Pacquiao
ALTHOUGH Trilogy headliner Juan Manuel “El Dinamita” Marquez is lined up for a number of fights this year, his sights and his mind are set on one ultimate goal: One last shot at three-time tormentor Manny Pacquiao.
Admitting that he is transfixed to the point of almost being obsessed about a fourth fight with the Filipino icon, the Mexican boxer is hoping his forthcoming title fight with Ukranian Sergei Fedchenko on April 14 will lead ultimately to a fourth match with Pacquiao, who he believes “robbed” him of three victories.
Marquez and Fedchenko are disputing the vacant WBO junior welterweight title in Mexico City.

“Everything will depend on the outcome of my next two fights,” he told a recent press conference in Mexico.
“If my body responds, then I will continue to fight.”
The first order of the day for the 38-year-old El Dinamita is to get past Fedchenko. If he does, he will climb back on the ring again on July 14 , possibly against Brandon Rios.
If he wins again, Marquez is expected to do all he can to secure a date with the world’s pound-for-pound king in November, assuming Pacquiao prevails over Timothy Bradley in their June 9 tiff in Las Vegas.
After the Trilogy last year, where Pacquiao won by a 12-round majority decision, Marquez claimed he was denied of a victory.
Their first encounter, where Pacquiao knocked Marquez down three times in the first round in May 2004, ended in a draw. Their second bout in March 2008, where Pacquiao scored another knockdown, ended up in a tight split decision.

Last year, Filipino Michael Martinez made a name for himself when he finished seventh in figure skating in the World Youth Olympics held in Austria.
Considering that it does not snow here in the Philippines and the young Michael learned to skate on ice only in one of the SM skating rinks here in Metro Manila, this was such a great accomplishment.
Michael is the first Filipino ever to participate in the figure skating event in such a prestigious competition as the Winter Olympics.
Just yesterday, I read on the Internet that another Filipino made waves in an international figure skating contest.
Christopher Caluza, a Filipino based in the United States, placed 20th in the World Figure Skating Championships in Nice, France.
A 22-year-old student born in Escondido, California, Christopher is now based in Chula Victa, home of the United States Olympics training Center.
