Nomads rally to tie Stallion

NOMADS fought back from two goals down to hold Stallion to a 2-2 stalemate, even as Air Force and Green Archers picked up a point each after an entertaining 1-1 draw Sunday night in the United Football League at the University of Makati field.

Playing with urgency after a poor start, Nomads rallied to salvage a point, thanks to goals from Toullec Loic and Nnabuife Fidelis, who struck just six minutes after coming off the bench in the 68th minute.

Using its high pressing game that forced Nomads to mistakes on their final third, Stallion sprinted to a 2-0 lead after just 16 minutes with skipper Ruben Doctora slotting home from close range in the 15th minute and striker Lee Joo-young scoring from close range.

Stallion’s second straight draw puts them six points behind third-placed Kaya with just 15.

With the draw, Nomads are now level on points with Army Fritz and Macziol.

Refusing to be daunted by an experienced Air Force side, skipper Tating Pasilan put Archers ahead seven minutes into the match.
