Raymundo suspended one game; Peña heads back to Petron for Sharma, Cruz

By

MANILA, Philippines – Reserve guard Pamboy Raymundo of Talk ‘N Text was slapped with stiffer penalties than expected after the PBA Commissioner’s Office upgraded on Tuesday his Game 4 offenses to Flagrant Foul Penatly 2s.

With the outcome settled of Game 3 practically settled in Sunday’s Game 4, Raymundo came into the game and promptly planted an elbow to the side of B-Meg guard Josh Urbiztondo’s face and then whacked Joe Devance with an open hand in the back of the head after Devance tossed the ball to his face.

Raymundo was suspended for Wednesday’s Game 5 after his actions – all squeezed into the 14 seconds of action he saw during the match won by the Tropang Texters. He was fined P40,000.

In trade developments, meanwhile, Dorian Pena returns to Petron Blaze in exchange for Carlo Sharma and Celino Cruz even as a deal that would send Jondan Salvador of Barako Bull to Powerade for Dough Kramer was turned down by commissioner Chito Salud.

Talk ‘N Text and B-Meg collide in an expectedly heated Game 5 Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

     suspensions must be served to
the 3 referees and for Raymundo who with out any provocation started it
all with a cheap play with or with out instruction from the bench..
first was coach chot discretion of putting Raymundo to the game when its
near the end and they are comfortably ahead.,Gamalinda is more
reasonable choice.; for the 3 referees they all deserve to be
investigated and prevented from officiating the rest of the games. As
for Joe de Vance, Josh should be reprimanded& fine good amount,
enough for reactionary unsportsmanlike conduct both displayed reminding
them to keep their temper check and allow the referees to handle every
situation. Both reactionary gesture was not intended to harm Raymundo,
instead to tell him “Hey, its not necessary” and for Joe to warn him of
“you can’t do that! I can’t fathom the wisdom of choice of coach chot
for fielding Raymundo that certain part of the game.but all this fall in
the context of mental strategy to disrupt mental conditioning of Bmeg
players especially Josh who’s giving them problem from the outside, to
disturb his concentration for the next game….the on going game is
already settled in that point in time, so this all mental strategy as
part of the game but still hitting below the belt, and consider dirty.
We want to witness good basketball games who ever win the championship
must be won fair and square… Players should play the game fair and
square…..Coaches must coach fair & square… Referees officiate
the game fair & square….we want to get our moneys worth fair &
    square…. thats all happy viewing!
