NFGB ‘Bullang Bullang’ champion known today


THE WINNER of the NFGB Bullang Bullang 8-Bullstag Derby will be known today from among the 72 top qualifiers with four wins each at Smart Araneta Coliseum. Today’s 144-fight program starts at 10 a.m.

Gov. Eddie Bong Plaza, co-champion of the 2011 National Bakbakan Stag Derby, lead the finalists. He posted 11 wins in “Bakbakan” and four in “Bullang Bullang” for an amazing 15 straight victories so far.

“Our new record of 1,260 entries was made possible by the support of 32 gamefowl breeders associations,” said National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders president Ricoy Palmares Jr.

Other top contenders: Rocky Remoquillo (NMGBA), Arnold dela Cruz, Rodel Austria and Allan Cantal (BBC), Bobot Arriola (GBAC), TJ Marquez, Pat Ilagan, Tony Mabasa and Bobby Ariston (RGBA), Pol Estrellado, Joey delos Santos and Arman Santos (Lagba), Mayor Glen Eduarte and Dr. Jed Nalupta (Unigba), Gov. Jayjay Suarez and Honey Yu (QGBA), Fred Palmares and Raul Panizal (Pagba) and Riochi Saito (UCBA), and Francis Lumunsad.
