CSB, UP barge into the win column

MANILA, Philippines—College of St. Benilde was in total control from start to finish as it coasted past Arellano University, 67-47, Wednesday in the 2012 FilOil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup.
Mark Romero had 13 points and six rebounds while Carlo Lastimosa added 12 points for the Blazers, who notched their first win in three stints.
Earlier, University of the Philippines also tasted its first win as it blasted Perpetual Help, 61-47.
Alvin Padilla pumped in three triples en route to a game-high 15 points while Raul Soyud contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Fighting Maroons also drew a decent effort from Alinko Mbah who hauled down 18 rebounds.
