Garcia upstages Tiu, bags Quick 8 crown

VANNI Garcia stole the spotlight from the favorites to capture the Quick 8 crown in the third and penultimate leg of the 2012 Philippine Drag Racing Championships Northern Series recently at Clark International Speedway.

In besting the multititled Jonathan Tiu in the finals, Garcia posted a time of 9.523 seconds that nearly shattered the Clark record of 9.223 owned by Pepi Santos.
