MANILA, Philippines—Blackwater held a commanding lead early and never let up to blast Cagayan, 106-82, and remain in the hunt for a twice-to-beat incentive in the 2012 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the San Juan Gym.
Playmaker AJ Mandani shot 18 points for the Elite, who led 53-31 at the half.
“We don’t want to be overconfident. The word that we emphasized in the dressing room was we wanted to be disciplined offensively and defensively,” said Blackwater head coach Leo Isaac.
