Vivas leads PH bets’ advance

Top seed Paul Vivas cruised past Rusty Rodriguez to barge into the third round along with six other members of the national team yesterday in the men’s singles open category of the Philippine National Open-Ming Ramos Youth Camp badminton championships at the Rizal Memorial Badminton Hall.

The 20-year-old Vivas dominated Rodriguez, 21-10, 21-10, in just 17 minutes to advance against Kevin Alfred Dalisay, who booted out Kingsley Go, 21-16, 21-12.

The tournament not only serves as a display of the Nationals’ talents but also as a major tryout for the squad under a new stewardship.

New coach Rexy Mainaky has been watching the matches and taking notes of the players seeing action in the week-long tournament.

“I have seen a lot of promising players,” said Mainaky. “Especially in the 13-years-old matches, you can already see their skills.”

Also making progress in the meet sponsored by Victor/PCOME, Bingo Bonanza, Sun Cellular and the Philippine Sports Commission are PH mainstays Christopher Flores, Marvin Cudiamat, Peter Gabriel Magnaye, Jofer Escueta and John Monterubio.

“They should be able to show they are worthy to be in the national team,” said Mainaky of the Philippine team members who have trained with him the past two weeks.

This no difference with our Malampaya Gas Field. We only have 10% Ownership via PNOC.
But his great offer for stability… win to win situation. Philippines alone cannot afford to drill
On the sea, conduct exploration and operate the expenses of pumpin oil.. we have no money,
Materials and capability that’s we always hire 3rd party company who the conduct the exploration
And drilling operation.. That’s the reality… We need joint cooperation this the same sa Pnoy public
Private panertship program.. 50 50 for me nothing wrong but I doubt we cannot afford 50% share
    Drilling cost billion of dollars.

I love PNOY not because of his history, because what he shown here is truly filipino heart..
He know he enter difficult stage but he know the right path defending the filipino constitution,
To DFA thank you your voicing out that filipino has rigth to be heard and treat equially thru international law.
I never sea any hardwork like this on our history.. This is new we are defending our self to the one minded china
That has capable to crimple us and very influence but our government still stood-up for our rigths.

Our government need us…. If we unite we will previal… we have own history .. own land and own law.
Every body must respect that even a big country!! That that’s our weapon to us.
