PBA D-League: Boracay Rum edges Café France on Eguilos’ game-winner

MANILA, Philippines—Jaymo Eguilos sank a jumper with five seconds left to lift Boracay Rum over Cafe France, 77-75, Thursday in the 2012 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

With the win, the Waves, who tied the Bakers at seventh place with identical 3-5 records, kept their heads afloat for a quarterfinals slot.

Eguilos finished with nine points while Toto Bandaying and Kenneth Acibar carried the load with 16 and 15 points respectively.

Jonathan Semira waxed hot from beyond the arc with six triples en route to a game-high 24 points.

Semira, though, missed a potential game-tying basket as time expired.
