Tams target 6th Filoil win versus Stags

FAR Eastern U seeks to tighten its grip of second spot in Group B when it clashes with NCAA powerhouse San Sebastian today in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup.
Already assured of a quarterfinal berth, the Tamaraws are looking for their sixth victory in the 5:15 p.m. showdown with the Stags, who could leapfrog past FEU with a win.
St. Benilde and Jose Rizal U dispute the remaining quarterfinals berth in Group B in their 12 noon showdown at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Although locked in a three-way race for the last quarterfinal berth with Adamson and JRU, St. Benilde has the advantage as it only needs a victory to seal its entry to the next round.
Aside from winning, the Bombers are hoping for an Adamson defeat in the Falcons’ 1:45 meeting with the Arellano Chiefs to make the quarterfinals.
A JRU win and an Adamson victory will send the Falcons to the next round ahead of the Bombers and the Blazers.
