Jerusalem trip up for Team Pacquiao

LAS VEGAS—Team Pacquiao is headed for Israel.

Revered promoter Bob Arum told Filipino sportswriters Thursday night that the planned trip to Jerusalem will push through in the middle of July.

The 80-year-old Arum said he talked with Pacquiao on Wednesday and they agreed to make the trip a grand event.

Pacquiao intends to hire a Boeing 737 for the trip.

Arum said high on the itinerary are the Christian sites of the Holy Land, where he traces his roots.

The trip is considered significant because of Pacquiao’s spiritual renewal and religious transformation. Roy Luarca
