Rain holds up Nadal semi-final charge at French Open

PARIS — Six-time champion Rafael Nadal was leading Spanish compatriot David Ferrer 6-2, 4-1 in their French Open semi-final when rain halted play on Friday.
Nadal had just broken the Ferrer serve for a third time when the play was suspended on the Philippe Chatrier court at 1420 local time (1220GMT).
