Pacquiao’s loss to Bradley: Bad luck or curse

Manny Pacquiao raises his gloved fists prior to the start of his WBO welterweight title fight against Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand Arena on June 9, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In what is being viewed as a highly controversial and unpopular outcome, unbeaten Bradley ended Pacquiao's long unbeaten run with a split decision victory over the Filipino ring icon. AFP/JOE KLAMAR

Manny Pacquiao’s loss to Timothy Bradley on Saturday night, June 9, 2012 (Sunday in Manila) was either a case of bad luck or a curse and Joseph Greenfield, resident psychic of Bandera, the tabloid publication of the Inquirer Group of Companies, says why at http://banderablogs.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/pacman-hahabulin-ng-malas-sumpa/.

Pacquiao is a DANGER to the Phil. society. I see another cult “personality” in the making. He is corrupt, a nincompoop politician who dreams of becoming a president. People don’t see this. But, I do..His feeling of invincibility is finally broken..God help you if he lands in malacanang..He is using God’s name for his political career..

You claimed to be “born again” Manny, you had put your evil ways behind your back and became a reformed and God-fearing man. Thus, for a true believer, there’s no such thing as bad luck. There might be a curse, maybe, if you have some “idols” still stored in your closet and remained hidden. Your loss is not your own decision or liking, (or it was?, I hope not). Maybe it’s time to hung your boxing gloves. You had accumulated more than enough wealth to live or outlive a lifetime. My unsolicited advice is to go back to Congress and use your God-given talents and  resources into best uses in accord with the will of God. Use your position as a leverage to initiate and sustain an advocacy of “good, responsive and responsible, God-centered governance”. You can make a difference in Philippine politics. Abandon traditional politics and if possible, have a separate God-fearing political party. In this regard, search and seek the true will and plan of God in you, then you and your family will be amply rewarded in heaven. Humbly start a modest life, motivate PacMom and the rest of your family circle, friends and constituents to live likewise and be “born-again” also like you. It’s not true that your change of religion caused your defeat. Religion can not save you nor make you win. You had found the “truth” about an earthly religion and about “true Christianity”. You are now a non-conformist of this world and its evil ways but a ” true follower of Christ”. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MANNY! There’s life after boxing, an everlasting life!

Can we separate politics, religion and sports? I can see a lot of you blaming the loss because he changed his religious views. Wasn’t it clear that those 2 judges wanted to see Manny lose and only a KO can stop them from doing so? Manny did more than enough for a unanimous decision, and this is what he gets? These 2 judges had been judging for more than a decade or so and they totally destroyed the sport of boxing tonight. What a travesty and an utter disgust! The whole world is united in this one, not just us Pinoys, that it was Manny Pacquiao who won. As Lennox Lewis tweeted after the fight, FIGHTERS DEFINE BELTS, BELTS DON’T DEFINE FIGHTERS!

Their is an end for the career of any sports…for the career of politics is the worst thing if certain noo…ky politician is changing his affiliation…We shall see in the near future…God knows to give the curse of troublesome.

  • dokiX

lesson for manny… if u can knock your opponent out do it, don’t go for the decision it wont go your way always…. and besides everyone watching the fight ever since the marquez fight notice that your moves are more tamed compare with the dela hoya and cotto’s fight. i miss the energizer bunny type you’ve shown us before… but maybe age takes its toll even for the best boxer!

  • gusto667

  • Jeff Lebowski

Manny, You knocked the world out when you graciously accepted the judges’ decision.

It’s not how you entered the ring, it’s how you left…. with style.

There’s no such thing as bad luck or curse.

Actually, mas naaawa pa ako kay Bradley, maski erpat ni mayweather and pati si Lewis ayaw maniwala sa resulta, parang siya pa yung natalo, siguro pinaka magandang  ginawa niya habang nasa ring sila is return the belt to Manny, he may have lost a fight but not his dignity, siguradong he will earn everybody’s respect.

Ok, Talo na. Accept na. Back to regular programming.

JBC ang tagal nga short list!!!!
