Manny proves drawing power

By |

LAS VEGAS—It wasn’t a sellout, but Pacquiao-Bradley did good enough at the gates Saturday night.

There were 14,306 in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, indicating that Manny Pacquiao can still draw the crowd against any opponent.

Though Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s fight against Miguel Cotto last month drew 16,047, it was understandable as Cotto has a huge Puerto Rican fan base.

Comparing how they fare against common foes, it’s clear thar that Pacquiao has the edge.

When Mayweather fought Juan Manuel Marquez, the fight drew 13,116. Pacquiao-Marquez III attracted 16,368.

When Mayweather bested Mosley, there were 15,117 in attendance; when it was Pacquiao’s turn to fight Mosley, 16,412 watched.
