Defending champion San Beda cruises past St. Benilde

MANILA, Philippines—Defending champion San Beda cruised past College of St. Benilde, 74-56, Saturday night in the NCAA Season 88 men’s basketball action at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Forward Jake Pascual was solid on both ends as he finished with 13 points, nine rebounds and a couple of blocks.

Meanwhile, Emilio Aguinaldo College gunned down Arellano, 76-57, behind Noube Happi’s double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds.

The chiselled center went eight-of-12 from the field.

The Generals tied the Chiefs with a 4-7 win-loss slate.

San Beda on the other hand, remained atop the heap at 9-2 while dealing CSB its eighth loss in 11 games.
