FEU’s Arvie Bringas suspended for 2 games

UAAP at MOA arena. Nico Salva of Ateneo gets fouled by Arvie Bringas of FEU . AUGUST DELA CRUZ

MANILA, Philippines — For his actions in Far Eastern University’s game against Ateneo, Arvie Bringas has been suspended for two games as UAAP enters its crucial stretch in the second round.

The league slapped FEU’s Bringas with a one-game suspension as a result of a disqualifying foul after he was caught spitting towards the Ateneo bench during the game Wednesday.

FEU, meanwhile, decided to impose an additional one-game ban on Bringas “for his action,” as posted in the University’s website (feu.edu.ph).

Ateneo’s JP Erram will also serve an automatic one-game suspension, which will be against La Salle this Sunday, for incurring his second unsportsmanlike foul of the season.

UAAP Commissioner Ato Badolato Thursday upgraded the foul by Erram, with a kicking motion towards Carl Cruz, to an unsportsmanlike foul following a review of the tape.

Badolato, likewise, issued a warning on Ateneo’s Greg Slaughter and FEU’s Rey Mark Belo and Roger Pogoy.

Both Bringas and Belo were ejected early in the game, which Ateneo won, 77-64.

    Bringasshole! Need I say more?

Ejection and/or suspension from playing won’t reform a criminal-minded individual. The only solution is ban Bringas from sports which feat him with humans. Otherwise, whatever school or commercial team that hires Bringas should be made liable to shoulder all expenses-including hospitalization and funeral- from injuries caused by Bringas. Kayo ang bahala sa kanya. Bringas brings liabilities for the team he plays for.
