La Salle Dasma bags Aquinas hoops double

MANILA, Philippines—La Salle Dasma Team Valdes emerged as double champions in the Bro. Dominic Aquinas Basketball Cup 2011-2012 season by winning the Fellowship and Seniors Division titles.
In the Fellowship Division, La Salle Dasma automatically took the championship by accomplishing a rare sweep of all elimination round games.
In the Seniors finals, LS Dasma upset Harbour Center Team R-2, 67-54, despite the absence of key players Oliver Agapito and Howard Evangelista due to injuries.
However, outstanding performances by Ramon Francis Tioseco, ex-PBA cagers Joey Santamaria and Eric Reyes, Joaquin Garcia, Robert Javier and team captain Joseph Yu brought La Salle Dasma its second title of the season.
Providing support off the bench were J. Midas Marquez, James Romero-Salas and playing coach Larry Lebron.
The Bro. Dominic Aquinas Basketball Cup is held annually in La Salle Green Hills and is open to alumni of all La Salle schools in the Philippines.
