Dancesport nat’l meet set at NAS

THE DANCESPORT Council of the Philippines, celebrating its 16th anniversary, will stage the “16th DSCPI National Championship” on Oct. 13 at Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate, Manila.
Among the new events are the Latin Wheelchair competition and a demonstration dance of Salsa and Hip Hop.
Salsa Club is the newest DSCPI associate member and is headed by Michael Wisniewski and Ana Rodalin Palma.
According to DSCPI president Becky Garcia, 374 dance athletes from all over the country are seeing action in the national championship.
Seven World DanceSport Federation licensed adjudicators will officiate in the dancefest—Kin Piu “Billy” from Hong Kong, Giovanni Chiapperini from Italy, Lubos Novotny from Czech Republic, Ahn Sangseuk from Korea, Robbin Tanudibrata from Indonesia, Daijiro Yoshida from Japan and Marco Sietas from Spain.
