MANILA, Philippines – The Jr. NBA Philippine team flies to Shanghai Thursday for the culminating part of the annual Jr. NBA Philippines.

The 10 NBA kids namely Camillus Altamirano, Lui Jhullano Besa, Antonio Jeffrey Coronel, Paulharley Dagunan, Regille Kent Ilagan, Felixberto Jaboneta, John Roald Mayor, Aljun Jay Melecio, Arnie Padilla and Patrick Ramirez get to watch the defending champion Miami Heat and the revamped Los Angeles Clippers square off in an exhibition game.

Apart from that authentic NBA experience, the Jr. NBA PH All-stars will also take the court against their counterpart Jr. NBA team.

The 10 are the best performers of the National Training Camp selected from Jr. NBA participants in regional selections held in Puerto Princesa, Cagayan de Oro, Pampanga, Manila and the Alaska Power Camp last April.

The Jr. NBA PH, presented by Alaska, began last January in Manila with the National Training Camp held in May.

In Shanghai, the young Filipino cagers will also get to interact with Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.

Previous Jr. NBA All-stars include Ateneo’s Kiefer Ravena and University of Santo Tomas’ Aljon Mariano back in 2007, La Salle guard Mark Tallo in 2008, University of the Philippines’ Henry Asilum in 2010 and Xavier’s Jarrell Lim and San Sebastian Staglet Lorenzo Navarro last year.
