Perfect Posadas seizes fourth Sletba Open title

APPLE Posadas caps her fourth title with a 300

MANILA, Philippines–Apple Posadas of PBAP-Bowlmart rolled a perfect game in ruling the Masters event of the 16th Sta. Lucia East Tenpin Bowling Association (Sletba) Open championships in Cainta, Rizal, on Sunday.

Posadas, who had a so-so start, managed to crawl her way up and hold the lead at the halfway mark of the 12-game series before an explosive finish highlighted by a perfect 300 in the ninth game.

It was actually Posadas’ fourth Sletba Open title, having also ruled from 2005-2007.
Aside from the championship trophy, Posadas won P50,000 plus another P10,000 for the perfect game.

Chester King and Jayson Tubid, both of TBAM-Prima, placed second and third.

Mike Crisol of TBAM-Prima capped his return from a 7-year hiatus by winning the Graded Masters, beating 17-year-old LA Lara of BALP and Mades Arles of PBAP-Bowlmart.
The Associate Masters event was an all-Sletba affair with Jun Bulaong placing first, followed by Tony Gamo and June Chua.

Nikki Ko of Sletba led all throughout the 10-game series as she claimed the Ladies Masters title. Ira Oyco and Jasha Jaron, both of TBAM-Prima, came in second and third, respectively.

In the Senior Masters category, Cora Barrientos of Sletba topped the field, followed by Boy Gotengco and Nilo Penado, both of the Pasig Bowling Association.
