Tatak Excellence joins ‘Bakbakan’

THE TATAK Excellence group is set to field at least five entries in nationwide “NFGB National Bakbakan 11–Stag Derby.”

The national elimination will be held in the following venues: Smart Araneta Coliseum (Nov. 15), Roligon (Nov. 20), Pasig Square Garden (Nov. 19, 22 and 26 ) and Ynares Sports Arena (Nov. 21 and 27 ).

“We are informed that Bakbakan entries will reach 5,000 this year.  Just to qualify to the grand finals on Dec. 6 is a big honor for us,” said Eulalio “Doc Ayong” Lorenzo, president of Excellence Gamefowl Specialists.

Lorenzo, in partnership with Dante Hinlo and Biyong Garing (Tagaytay Excellence entry), bagged the championship of “AA Cobra Big Event 8–Stag Derby” last Oct. 29 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.  Las Piñas Mayor Nene Aguilar and Jimmy Atayde were co–champions.

For the past 15 years, Lorenzo has been personally supervising the breeding and conditioning program of Hinlo’s DVH Gamefarms in Negros Occidental.

Lorenzo also bagged the 2011 Pilipinas Gamefowl Breeders Derby Association Stagfighter of the Year award and was runner-up  in the 2011 Negros Gamefowl Breeders Association Breeder of the Year race.
