MANILA, Philippines – Last year’s runner-up San Beda made short work of San Sebastian 25-11, 25-23, 25-19 Tuesday in the opener of NCAA Season 88 men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Eight San Beda spikers scored led by Gilbert Ablan’s 14 while Lovenzo Capate and Christian Euciso had 12 apiece.

The Lions never let up after hardly breaking a sweat in the first set as they pounced on the Stags errors in a match that lasted just 59 minutes.

Arvin Montales and Richard Tolentino paced San Sebastian with 12 points each.
