Hagdang Bato leads tough Marho race field

/ 11:01 PM November 22, 2012

Hagdang Bato will try to add another title to an already glorious season on Sunday in the San Miguel Colt Mile of the Marho “Daisy-Siete” Festival at Santa Ana Park in Naic, Cavite.

The Triple Crown champion will be gunning for a sixth major stakes victory over five other chargers that will highlight a program loaded with five other rich stakes events.

Sunday’s program will be the climax of the horseracing group’s celebration of its 17th anniversary, and one race that is expected to go down the wire is the San Miguel Beer Classic.

Incidentally, the Presidential Gold Cup is the biggest event remaining in the year, and Hagdang Bato, who will again be partnered by ace Jonathan Hernandez, will use the San Miguel Colt Mile race to prime up for that event.

“We are very much gratified by the warm response by the participants and the strong support of all our sponsors who have made the Marho ‘Daisy-Siete’ possible,” said Sandy Javier, chair of the country’s oldest group of racehorse owners.  Musong R. Castillo
