NCA Christmas derby slated Dec. 18



THE NATIONAL Cockers Alliance (NCA) holds the first derby of its 5-cock circuit on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Event hosts Mayor Elan Nagaño and Mayor Joson have invited Jun Mendoza, Pete Ison, Oca Domingo, Bong Pineda, Pampanga Rep. Carmelo Lazatin, Engr. Tuaño and Ato dela Cruz.

Participating NCA members in the Sagupaan Complexor-sponsored derby include Rene Medina, Bebot Uy, Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Arnold Mendoza, Isaac Newton, Eugene Martin, Luding Boongaling, Joel Teves, Danny Teves, Rudy Albano, Jimmy Ang, Ito Ynares, Gerry Ramos, Boy Valenzuela, Mario Villamor, Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano, Nestor Mercado, Lito Orillaza, Firefly Group, Atong Ang, Manny and Armand Santos, Patrick Antonio, Jun Topacio, Vic Yap, Bebot Roxas, Allan Bantile, Claude Bautista, Efren Canlas, Jimafer and Cesar Dy.

The NCA is the premier organization of cockfighting enthusiasts and gamefowl breeders in the country.

It regularly holds derbies to raise funds for its scholarship program for underprivileged students of the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
