MANILA, Philippines — La Salle barely broke a sweat in the 25-15, 25-14, 25-13 clobbering of University of the East Sunday in the 75th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Arena in San Juan.
Mika Reyes racked up 11 points, four from services, while reigning MVP Abigail Maraño added nine points for the Lady Archers, who knocked down their third straight victory.
Substitute playmaker Kim Fajardo got extended minutes Sunday and had 21 excellent sets for La Salle, who faces vastly-improved National University Wednesday.
“We will give them (Lady Bulldogs) a good fight, and prepare for them,” said head coach Ramil De Jesus of their next assignment.
Leuseht Dawis and Sarina Faith Bulan finished with seven hits apiece for UE, the only winless squad this season with four setbacks.
