St. Francis of Assisi College rallied from 12 points down going to the fourth quarter to edge Philippine Christian University, 73-72, dodging the bullet in sensational fashion in the 5th UCLAA basketball championship at the San Andres Sports Complex recently.

Trailing, 61-49, defending four-time champion St. Francis poured on the heat in the final 10 minutes to maintain its leadership in the seniors division.

Following the resumption of games at the end of the holiday season break, SFAC tows the varsity field with a 5-1 win-loss record. Next are Diliman Computer Technology Institute (4-1), AMA Computer University (4-2), National College of Business and Arts (4-2), Colegio de San Lorenzo (3-2), De Ocampo Memorial College (2-3), PCU 1-5), and Philippine State College of Aeronautics (0-7).
