Elite shoot for outright semis slot

By |

The Blackwater Elite shoot for the second outright semifinal berth against the Cagayan Valley Rising Suns today in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at Trinity University of Asia Gym.

The Elite (6-2) can finish second behind defending champion NLEX (9-1) with a win at 4 p.m. over the Rising Suns (6-3).

It won’t be the end of the world for the Rising Suns if they lose  since they will just be relegated to quarterfinals play. But coach Alvin Pua has instilled a do-or-die mentality to help ensure that his team hurdles its latest challenge.

“All our efforts will be put to waste if we couldn’t get the job done,” Pua said.

In the first game at 2 p.m, Cebuana Lhuillier hopes to stay in the hunt for a quarterfinals seat when it battles Informatics.
