Ynares hosts NCA derby

IT WILL be another battle of top gamefowl enthusiasts on Jan. 29, Tuesday, as the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) holds a derby at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The event will be hosted by top cockers Eugene Martin and Luding Boongaling, and Joel and Danny Teves.

Parts of the proceeds from all NCA derbies go to a scholarship fund for college students of the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Tuesday’s derby will once again be a nail-biting and action-filled affair as the most prominent cockfighting enthusiasts from all around the country battle it out to prove who is the best among them.

Two champions emerged at the NCA derby last Jan. 22. The team of Eric dela Rosa, Butchoy Olano, and Ruel Ricafort and Bebot Uy were co-champions with 5 points each.

In second place with 4.5 points was Gov. Ito Ynares.

The following entries got 4 points each: Boy Martinez, Cong. Claude Bautista, Arman Santos, Gov. Ito Ynares with another entry, Cesar Dy, and Mayor Boyet Joson.
