MANILA, Philippines – Adamson punctuated a 12-game sweep of the UAAP season 75 softball eliminations with a 7-0 shutout of University of the East on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.
The victory stretched the Lady Falcons’ impressive winning streak to 32 games, dating back to the 2010-11 season.
National University, meanwhile, hacked out a 4-0 win over La Salle to finish in second place behind Adamson, while University of the Philippines beat University of Santo Tomas, 4-1.
The Lady Maroons wound up in third spot with a 7-5 card and a full game behind the Lady Bulldogs (8-4. The Tigresses finished the eliminations at fourth with a 6-6 card.
The stepladder semi-finals start on Wednesday, with UP taking on UST – and the winner facing NU in the second stepladder match on February 16.
The team to emerge on top of the stepladder faces Adamson in championship round on February 22.
