MANILA, Philippines—Mark Montuano led the way as Informatics beat Mapua, 61-57, in the quarterfinals of the 9th Fr. Martin Cup Collegiate Open basketball tournament on Tuesday at the Trinity University of Asia Gym in Quezon City.
Montuano scored 25 points for the Icons, who set up a meeting with Adamson for a semifinals berth.
Meanwhile, University of the Philippines repulsed University of Perpetual Help-A, 63-56, in the other quarters encounter.
The Fighting Maroons, who drew 16 points from Julius Wong, will face the Letran Knights for the other semis slot.
