MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas moved on to the next phase after holding University of the Philippines scoreless, 4-0, Wednesday in the UAAP Season 75 softball tournament at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

The Tigresses face National University in a second stepladder semifinals encounter with the no.2 Lady Bulldogs owning a twice-to-beat advantage after finishing with an 8-4 mark in the elimination round.

The winner advances to take on two-time defending champion Adamson in a best-of-three championship series next week.

The Lady Falcons, who haven’t been beaten in 32 games dating back to the 2010-11 season, earned an outright Finals berth completing a 12-game sweep in the eliminations.

In baseball, NU and Ateneo start their championship series Thursday in rematch of last year’s Finals.
