ABL: Banchero steers Beermen to a road win over Slammers

MANILA, Philippines—Fil-American guard Chris Banchero exploded for 26 points to help the San Miguel Beermen fend off the Chang Thailand Slammers, 77-73, Wednesday night in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) at the Nimibutr Stadium in Thailand.

The Beermen, who also drew 20 points from Gabe Freeman, upped their record to 3-2 while the Slammers fell to 2-4.

San Miguel bounced back from a sorry 96-98 home loss to the Indonesia Warriors last Friday at the Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City.
