FEU blanks La Salle to clinch second UAAP men’s volleyball finals slot

MANILA, Philippines – Reigning titlist Fat Eastern University blanked La Salle, 25-23, 25-21, 25-13, on Saturday to clinch the other finals slot in the UAAP season 75 men’s volleyball tournament.

Power-hitting Arvin Avila dropped a game-best 17 points for the Tamaraws, who return to the title round raring to nab back-to-back championships.

First seed National University defeated Adamson to clinch the first finals berth. NU and FEU figures in a best-of-three series.

The Tamaraws, who were gunning for a twice-to-beat advantage, frustrated La Salle after a tight first set, 25-23 and the Archer Spikers never recovered from there.

PhilipCerveza top scored for the third-seed La Salle with 10 points, which included blocks.
