6th Flexible Cup up
Filipino players get to play against seasoned opposition from five Asian nations in the 6th Flexible Cup International Table Tennis Championships which kicked off yesterday at the Harrison Plaza Garden Square in Manila.
Paddlers from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will test the mettle of the locals in the two-day meet supported by Flexible Packaging Corp.
Headlining the local challenge are the country’s top bet, Richard Gonzales, and UAAP men’s and women’s table tennis champions UST and De La Salle, respectively. Among the noted foreign players competing in the tournament are Indonesian national team veteran on Yon Mardiyono.
