By |

MANILA, Philippines – De La Salle University’s Red Christensen and University of Santo Tomas’ Mark Gil Alfafara were named as the co-MVPs Wednesday in the UAAP Season 75 men’s volleyball tournament.

Christensen helped the Green Spikers to a third-seed finish before falling to defending champion Far Eastern University in the Final Four while Alfafara was the consistent force for the Golden Spikers who had a disappointing season after falling short for a semifinals slot.

Alfafara was also named as the best blocker while the league’s best scorer went to Adamson’s Ron Jay Galang.

Galang’s teammate Nikko Ramirez bagged the Rookie of the Year award.

The Tamaraws’ Arvin Avila took home the best receiver and best server award while National University’s Peter Torres and Vincent Mangulabnan were the league’s best attacker and best setter respectively.

Carlo Almario of University the East wound up as the best digger.
