AT LEAST 40 of the country’s most promising basketball players will head to Manila to vie for 10 slots in the 2013 Jr. NBA Philippine All-Star Team.

The regional selection camp of the 2013 Jr. NBA Philippines presented by Alaska kicked off over the weekend at Stadia Convention Center in Dagupan City where the best campers will be sent to Manila for a shot at representing the country in the Jr. NBA.

Davao will host the next regional selection camp and other NBA Cares activities from April 1 to 3 at University of Southeastern Philippines, followed by Lucena City from April 6 to 8 at Quezon Convention Center.

The last selection camp will be at Aquinas School in San Juan from April 13 to 14, before all the top regional players converge for the National Training Camp in Manila.

The event, backed by Master and Rexona, also aims to promote proper grooming and hygiene among athletes and develop values like leadership, discipline and sportsmanship. Jasmine W. Payo
