It’s James’ word vs Kris’
WELL-MEANING friends and associates of embattled San Mig Coffee superstar James Yap were right.
They were just being realistic when they counseled the cager not to engage his former spouse in a dispute of any kind, legal or otherwise.
“You won’t win,” a friend told James. “Kris is the most powerful woman in the country today. She is, after all, the sister of the most powerful man in the country.”
While James knew that his friends were correct, he said he couldn’t take it anymore. He was forced to react to Kris’ moves.
“Sobra na, hindi ko na kaya (Enough, I can’t take it anymore),” he told his friends.
In December last year, James was served the adoption papers for his son Bimby.
Kris is said to have explained that it was all for the sake of Bimby who became illegitimate after the Yap-Aquino marriage was annulled.
While James also wants Bimby’s status to be legitimized, he is wary that he will lose all his rights to the child, including the right to see him, if he signs the adoption papers.

He said; she said. James cried; Kris wept.
The issue now is who’s telling the truth. Who’s crying crocodile tears.
Kris accused James of trying to force himself on her.
James said, “Wala na akong pakialam kay Kris (I don’t care anymore about Kris)!”
Kris said on television that James had barged into her bedroom to confront her about what she was supposedly telling Bimby. It was James’ word against Kris’.
Claiming that James was bothering her and their son, Kris filed a temporary protection order, which was immediately granted by the courts. It prevents James from coming closer than 100 meters to Bimby.
James countered by filing a hold departure order on Kris, who was set to leave for a holiday in Europe with Bimby and older son Joshua (by Philip Salvador).
A few days after the HDO was filed, we all saw Kris and her boys on TV getting ready to board their flight to Paris.

“I was one of those who told James that this is one game he can’t win,” said a source very close to James. “You all saw him cry over his helplessness. James is not an actor, those were genuine tears. He was hurt at how Bimby has changed. He hated his father and this he shouted in James’ face.”
The source also disclosed that the cager is currently involved with someone.
“James is trying to keep her out of the public eye,” the same source added. “He actually wants a quiet life. She’s Italian and very beautiful. She’s not in showbiz.”
Whether James can win this game, only time will tell. This early, though, oddsmakers won’t put their money on him.
By the way, I wonder if James is aware of talks that Kris is planning to study at Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and take up a course in public governance.
Word has it that she will run for public office in the 2016 elections.
If this is true, she really has no choice but to give up her TV shows temporarily. For sure she would want to take her two sons with her to the US.
