Beermen remain hot with win over Slingers in ABL

MANILA, Philippines — San Miguel cruised to its seventh straight win after beating Jobstreet.com Singapore, 78-57, Saturday in the Asean Basketball League at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Fil-Italian Chris Banchero shone with 19 points to lead the Beermen to a 10-3 record.

San Miguel pulled away in the third quarter as it blew open a 36-27 game. A basket by Banchero made it a 20-point game, 57-37, as Singapore never recovered.

The Slingers dropped to 5-10.
