Adamson, UP eye title berths
ELIMINATION topnotcher Adamson University will take on University of the Philippines today for an outright final slot in the women’s division of the Summer Grandslam National Open Softball championships at Clark Freeport Zone.
The third-ranked Rizal Technological University and Chikara-Brunei will also tangle with the winner earning a crack against the loser of the Adamson-UP tussle for the last championship berth.
UP, RTU and Chikara-Brunei wound up with identical 2-2 cards with the rankings decided by their quotient.
In men’s open, Philippine Air Force downed Cebu, 5-2, to stay in second behind Indonesian team Lakidende.
Lakidende still holds top spot with a 5-1 record despite a 5-6 loss to PAF (5-2) in the meet organized by Amateur Softball Association-Philippines and backed by Cebuana Lhuillier. Marc Anthony Reyes
