MANILA, Philippines — Ray Parks provided the clutch baskets as defending champion National University edged Adamson, 70-68, in overtime Monday in the FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup at the Arena in San Juan.
Parks scored six of the Bulldogs’ eight points in extra session including the game-winning jumper in the waning seconds to help his team extend their unbeaten run to six games.
The Falcons played catch up majority of the game but led by four, 68-64, near the final minute before Parks, who finished with 28 points, took over.
Jericho Cruz paced Adamson, which slipped to 1-2, with 16 points.
Lloyd Abrigo’s two free throws forced extra time after Parks and Alfred Aroga missed potential game winners to end regulation.
