Tigresses seek last Shakey’s V-L s’final slot
University of Santo Tomas tries to secure the last Final Four berth when it battles Perpetual Help in the Shakey’s V-League today at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Led by former MVP Aiza Maizo, the Tigresses, with a 2-0 record, must win the 4 p.m. match to avoid getting dragged into a knockout contest with the Lady Altas.
Eliminated teams La Salle-Dasmariñas and Arellano wrap up their campaigns in the 2 p.m. match on the final day of the quarterfinal round.
National University (3-0) and Ateneo (2-1) have secured semifinal berths after topping Group I, while Adamson (2-1) claimed the first Final Four slot in Group II. A UST loss will forge a three-way tie with Adamson and Perpetual at 2-1, but the Lady Falcons will go straight to the Final Four due to a superior quotient.
