Ong tops St. Scho alumnae golf

THE St. Scholastica’s Alumnae Foundation, Inc. staged the 2nd SSAFI Scholarship Fundraiser Tournament (Swing and Make a Difference) last Nov. 9 at Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club in Carmona, Cavite, for the benefit of SSAFI’s scholarship programs.

Claire Ong emerged overall champion with Annika Cedo as low gross champion.   In the men’s division, Bing Bunye wound up Class A champion at the expense of Arthur Dychiao. The Class B title went to  Kent Sitaca, who bested Noli Lopez.  Class C champion was Lito Sulit, who won over -Kiel Tria.

Ladies champion was Marichi Ojeda and 1st runner-up-Florence Okiyama.

The awarding ceremony was hosted by  Gigi Prats. Special guests were Sister M. Angelica Leviste, OSB, and alumna Mitch Valdez who entertained the guests. SSAFI president Bang A. Karaan  gave the opening remarks.

The golf event was chaired by Baba Santos with Ampy Lim, Marilou Lim, Gigi Prats, Elaine Baloloy, Anna Leah Wong and Tita Rose Tan as sub-committee heads. They were assisted by Nonong Rodriguez and Ricqui Felarca.
