Partners Cup badminton this June 6

Philippine Daily Inquirer

MANILA, Philippines - A stellar cast of 184 PLAYERS will compete for top honors and cash prizes in various divisions when the sixth Partners Cup Invitational Badminton tournament unfolds June 6 at the Yonex Badminton courts at Liberty Center on Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong.

The annual event is held to promote fitness and health and to foster camaraderie among the management and staff of Robinsons Land Corp. and its business partners.

Cash prizes are at stake in classes Elite, A, B, C, D and E.

Highlighting the one-day tournament is the FDG Cup, held in honor of Frederick Go, president of Robinons Land, featuring a crack roster of South Korean players against the country’s top shuttlers, headed by Kennevic and Kennie Asuncion.

Glenn Encarnacio and Richard Bautista ruled last year’s Class A division and the duo are expected to vie for a second straight championship.

Last year’s other winners were Vic Batungbacal and Jesus Dumlao (Class B), Paul de Silva and Alvin Gloriosa (C), Jacy Gamboa and Tina Maligat (D) and Raymond Baylon and Fhemie Medrano (E).
