MANILA, Philippines ? San Beda defeated Jose Rizal U, 96-81, to seize solo second place in the NCAA men?s seniors basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

The Red Lions finished the first phase of the elimination round at 8-1, while pinning a second loss in nine games for the Bombers.
