AFTER a three-month hiatus, the 2009 MS Motosuit Motocross Series returns to action today with the staging of its 12th leg dubbed the Mayor Shun J. Shimura Motocross Challenge in barangay Poblacion, Daanbantayan town, northern Cebu.

MS Motosuit Store owner and veteran race organizer Lou Ornopia said top riders from Mindanao will be seeing action to try their luck against the Cebuano riders.

Leading the charge for the Cebuanos are Pepo Rubi, Jon-jon Adlawan, Weng Yapparcon, Clark Wagas and the dreaded Abellar brothers, Juvenile and Jovannie.

Today's race, organized by Malou Pepito of the BJ Pepito Racing Team, is supported by the Municipal Council of Daanbantayan, Mariquita Salimbangon, Mayor Shun J. Shimura, Vice Mayor Maria Luisa Loot and Castrol Power One. /EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
