MANILA, Philippines ? Rival junior Cebuano Karters Tonyo Carcel and Jette Calderon square off at the short and treacherous Boomland Kart Track Sunday in the sixth and penultimate leg of the 2009 Magnolia Pure Water Karting Super Series at the CCP Complex in Pasay City.

The two are in a close fight for the Formula SL Novice crown as they are just 31 points apart in this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines.

Carcel leads the title race with 305 points while Calderon has 274. What transpired in their previous race could be a preview of the expected neck-and-neck duel between the two.

Estefano Rivera of PCR-Tought Gear Racing can also pull off a big title upset as he?s in close third with 237 points.

Joining the fray are Korean Daniel Park of Ready2Race, Archim Lorenz Lagman, Gab Dacasin, Matthew Chan, Lawrence de Leon of PCR-Tough Gear Racing, lady karter Coleen Yap and Nikki Luna.
